The Preparatory Phase
The CTA Preparatory Phase started at the beginning of October 2010 and will last for 3 years. It will address a number of crucial prerequisites for the approval, construction and operation of CTA. It broadly splits into two themes: investigation of the science possible with CTA and adminstrative and technical aspects of building and operating a telescope array.
The Spokesperson and Preparatory-Phase Co-ordinator is Werner Hofmann, and the Co-spokesperson is Manel Martinez.
The administrative and technical aspects of CTA are led by the Project Manager, John Carr, at the Project Office.
