CTAO Funding Sources

 

The CTAO’s mission is driven by science, seeking to expand our knowledge of the Universe for the benefit of all mankind. Our ongoing success in this endeavour would not be possible without worldwide financial support from a growing number of agencies and organisations.

 

The CTAO receives array components as in-kind contributions from the CTA Consortium funded by the CTAO Shareholders and Associate Members of the CTAO gGmbH. In addition, the CTAO has received the following European Union funding:

 

Open Grant Agreements:

The CTAO is a part of ESCAPE (The European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle Physics ESFRI Research Infrastructures) project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no. 824064.

 

Closed Grant Agreements:

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme ([FP7/2007-2013]) under Grant Agreements 262053 and 317446.

 

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programs under Grant Agreement No 676134.
