The CTAO gGmbH is governed by the CTAO Council, composed of shareholders from 11 countries and one intergovernmental organisation (ESO), as well as associate members from two countries.

CTAO Council Meetings

 

The CTAO Council meets on a regular basis at least twice per year. The meetings are not open to the public and are attended by shareholder delegates and their experts, associate member delegates, CTAC spokesperson(s), the chair of the CTAC Board and the Managing Director assisted by the Project Manager, the Scientific Director/Project Scientist and additional members of the company or guests at the Chair’s discretion.

Advisory Bodies

 

Administrative and Finance Committee (AFC)
Purpose: To advise the Council on matters of administrative, legal and financial nature.
Chair: Chiara Guccione

 

In-Kind Review Committee (IKRC)
Purpose: To assess the process of calls for in-kind contributions to the CTAO, evaluate proposals received, provide recommendations on the selection of the proposals to the Council and to advise on the contracting and reviewing process of in-kind contributions.

Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC)

Purpose: To advise the CTAO Council and provide advice and recommendations based on the assessment of the scientific and technical activities carried out for the CTAO construction project.
