Polarization can give a unique view of multi-messenger processes in astrophysical systems. This is particularly true for the most energetic objects in the high-energy sky, offering countless opportunities to understand the violent Universe. The synergies between optical polarization and the very high-energy gamma rays can prove invaluable to address pressing questions in blazars and gamma-ray transients in the CTAO era.
