The following list gathers all open secondment positions for the CTAO Science team. Secondees would report to the Project Scientist, Roberta Zanin.   • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will suppport the Project Scientist on all her activities.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy and in CTAO/CTAC in particular. Knowledge of the CTAO/CTAC community well appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will coordinate synergies papers with SKAO observatories.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray and radio astronomy. Coordination skills are required and knowledge of the CTA scientific community well appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will coordinate synergies papers with ESO observatories.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy, and ESO facilities. Coordination skills are required and knowledge of the CTAO/CTAC scientific community well appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will coordinate work on inputs for the definition of missing operational requirements.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy, and observatory operational aspects. Coordination skills are required and knowledge of the CTAO/CTAC scientific community well appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will act as interface between the PS team and the SE engineering team for revision/definition of requirements or operational aspects. Highest priority is now on matters related to SW packages.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy and in CTAO/CTAC in particular. Experience in SE and CTA software packages appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) or Zeuthen (Germany) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will be a member of the simulation team as to run divergent Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy and in particular on Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) or Zeuthen (Germany) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will be a member of the simulation team to learn and run the processes related the work management system.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in Dirac and WMS is appreciated.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) or Zeuthen (Germany) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will be a member of the simulation team as representative person of the MST Consortium. This person will be the contact person for the MST telescope model, for all simulations necessary for MST requirement verification.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy and in particular on Monte Carlo simulations and MST hardware.
  • Job Location: Home institution, but for specific tasks on-site presence in Bologna (Italy) will be required and agreed upon.
  • Description: The secondee will work in the preparation of a list of SB to be used for the SDC and will provide inputs to the scheduling team of in-kind contributors to test their optimization algorithms.
  • Qualification: The candidate should have a degree in Physics, Astronomy, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Soft Skills: Experience in gamma-ray astronomy and in observatory scheduling processes.
